The ugly bird-things in panel 2 were actually supposed to be normal birds. I’m not good at drawing animals, however, so when this thing came out of my first attempt I decided to just roll with it. As always, here at Interesting Times my laziness quickly becomes an “artistic choice”! [October 2, 2012]
