  1. This has to be one of my favorite pastimes- watching the Scifi channel for the So-Bad-Its-Good movies and making fun of them. Sometimes I feel bad for mocking something someone put a lot of work into, but I get over that pretty quickly once the movie gets going.

May I recommend Ghouls as a very entertaining So-Bad-Its-Good flick? Definitely not a hidden gem movie, though. If you do see it, make a mental note of the box under her bed.

    1. Near the end, when that dude crawls out of the inexplicable pile of seduction popcorn, coughs and says something to the effect of “no more popcorn” — I said aloud that I really hoped that was the last we ever saw of him.

      AND IT WAS. BEST MOVIE

  2. Wow, if someone were to watch a bad movie once a week and then review it… like on a website or something… that would be very cool. Then i could find out all the SBIG movies and hidden gems, and not have to sit through movies like Manos: The Hands of Fate. I’m surprised that nobody has done this yet.

  3. Manos: The Hands of Fate can be SBIG if you have the right person making jokes. If not, well, my sympathies are with you.

    1. That movie is just barely watchable even with the right people (naturally, MST3K). I often use it as a point of Horrible Movie reference in conversation, when people say things like “Man, Elektra was the worst movie ever.” To which I reply “Was it shot in focus most of the time?” and they say “Yeah, I guess so” and then I say “Then there’s definitely worse.”
