Older Works

Who doesn’t love posting old drawings and works that they’re a little embarassed by but also so weirdly proud of that they can’t just delete them outright? Nobody! So, enjoy:

ASTONISHING TALES – January 2005
I had lots of ideas for a comic with lots of video game references and myself and friends as characters. Crazy original, I know. Anyway, I wanted to work up a few before I went ahead, to see if I could. They’re not bad, but I didn’t pursue the idea very far.

JACK AND DOLLY – Late 2008
Jack and Dolly are a pallet jack and a dolly, respectively. They live and work in a warehouse. Jack is somewhat more level-headed, though often naive and easily swept up by Dolly’s enthusiasm. Dolly is chipper, gregarious, and not one for carefully considering things before acting on them. I have a page of storylines written out for them and actually like these comics very much.

“FUNNY” COMICS – February 2004
My old roommate had a site called ‘Serialcities’ and these are some guest comics I did. That’s, uh, all I’m gonna say. Wait no: #4 has some definite foreshadowing, as far as my life and future creative works anyway.

THE ZANY ADVENTURES OF JABBA THE HUTT – March 2001 to December 2003
Oh, man. I’m not posting these individually because that’s far too much work and almost certainly not worth the effort. Way back in time I had this site called “Magic Story Time” where I posted comics and stories and little animations and just whatever else I felt like doing. The vast majority of the site, and by extension these comics, was either:
1.) Inside jokes
2.) LOL SO RANDOM XD humour
3.) old meme-based (Leetspeak! Mr. T!)
4.) embarrassing attempts at ‘edginess’
Regardless, there are faint traces of actual humour present, and I suppose I do still like the character of Jabba himself.
