  1. The mullet was discovered, rather than invented, by German philosopher Immanuel Kant when he was preparing “Groundwork of the Metaphysic of Morals,” published 1785. Needless to say, the discovery took place after an evening with a bottle of Jägermeister, a sharp letter opener, and some hard philosophizing.

    😛

  2. Actually*, the mullet was born out of a conspicuous social taboo surrounding long hair bangs in the southern reaches of America, which in turn led to the desperate (and extremely 80’s) solution to cut them off while keeping the rest.

    Basically it’s the ’80’s fault.

    (*may not actually be actual)
