Today is the ninth anniversary of my site! To celebrate, I’ve found and uploaded a graphic novel that I wrote when I was very young. Go read it here!
Nine years. A lot of ups (got married!) and downs (tried to be a teacher!) have happened in that time, not to mention the opportunities that have happened because of the site (got to sell a book at a comic con!) Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for finding my pictures and writing amusing, and for making my site a part of your day.
(oh yes, on an administrative note: you’ve noticed by now that the site theme has changed again. I like this one, but I do still need to iron out a few things here and there.)
Yes, it’s June 6th and that means Interesting Times is one year older! And YOU get to play a computer game!

UPDATE: 100% FUNDED!
Hello, everyone! I’m pleased to be celebrating seven years of Interesting Times, and I’d also like to unveil…our ambitious and super exciting IndieGoGo campaign! The tl;dr version is that we want to make an excellent, real-life hardcover book and we want your help! The longer version is on the page itself!
Special thanks to Steve & Kayla Sukkau for editing and graphic design! Also special thanks to the boys at Collectif for their very professional video that actually makes me look kinda cool.
And as always, thanks to each and every one of you readers! There sort of wouldn’t be a point to all this without you, awwwwwww 🙂
So, yeah! Sixth birthday! I know I say this every year, but who would have thought I’d still be doing this comic for this long? And yes, I really did not come up with any good birthday surprises this year. I might crack a fun site-related thing out this summer, and in the meantime, how’s this for a Birthday Present: I’ll keep making comics, and you keep chuckling and commenting on them and telling your friends and family and even random strangers about this site! Deal?
Once again I’d like to personally thank all the people who’ve said nice things and passed the site around, and who continue to read and (sometimes, hopefully) chuckle at my drawings. Here’s to another year!
To celebrate FIVE YEARS of Interesting Times I have created a brand-new eBook!
Hello! Today is comic number one thousand! Pull up a chair, I want to talk to you for a bit.
What I really wanted to do was to have some merchandise ready to sell today. The guy you see in the comic is a prototype of the finished version, but until I find a suitable base on which to stand him he is not ready to inhabit your homes and places of work.
I’ve tried different things and racked my brain and in the end ran out of time, so I did the next best thing (hopefully?) and put this together. Don’t fret, I am not done with this idea.
Anyway I just wanted to thank everyone who has been so nice about my work over the years. Please continue to enjoy the site and by all means spread the word to your friends and family! Shout the URL at total strangers!
P.S.: I haven’t completely forgotten about the Interesting Times TV show “special edition” thing I promised either. Just mostly forgotten STILL COMING SOON
