I think that Nathan draws his comics from bottom to top and ends with the words. Hey Nathan your pens running out of ink.
I think this comic was done by an imposter. My proof: a different pen was used. Clearly a clever immitation.
Oh you guys, take off your Internet Detective hats. It was nothing more complicated than the following:
1.) I accidentally wrote/drew most of the comic with my brush at 90% opacity rather than the usual hundred, so the greyness is a very slight level of transparency.
2.) I was way too sleepy to care when I spotted the mistake.
Wait, I should try and be more obscure and mysterious. Uh, the above is what my, uh, publicist wants you to believe! But the truth goes deeper…some of you are on the right track…
