Hey Freezinth, I just read your controversial comments regarding the Metal Gear series.
Now, I don’t wanna get off on a rant here, but am I supposed to be offended whenever a child sneers at my decision to wear shoes with laces? “It just makes things more complicated,” he says to me, wearing his mulitcoloured velcro sneakers. Well, hey, that’s one way of looking at it, right? Another way would be from the adult’s perspective.
Look, kid, I won’t stop you from enjoying your childhood, but you ought to know that some day there’ll be another world waiting for you; a world where chocolate bars have lost their magic, and throwing a ball through a hoop just doesn’t give you the satisfaction it once did. I know it sounds boring now, but you’ll learn to appreciate the finer things in life. Metal Gear is just one of those finer things.
Until then, feel free to accumulate your collection of damn-near identical NBA games. I hear next year they’re going to get really innovative and actually animate the coach’s spit flying!

Nice Dennis Miller impression, would have been better with some F-bombs though, why do you think he’s on HBO? Also it would be nice if you could post your response in the right thread, lets not high-jack this thread with comments from another.
The comment about my collection of identical basketball games really hurt me. Hopefully the next metal gear will be different from the previous ones and not have you sneak around, snap some necks, fight a boss, and wait through 20 minute cut-scenes in between because Hideo can’t tell a story without cut-scenes.
Oh and since your not enjoying your childhood anymore, and living the fully resonsible adult lifestyle, how about moving out of mommy’s house. “Much less fun when you wake up” Yeah it must really suck not having a mortgage, or car payments, or children to feed. Spending your days playing WOW, sleeping and working must really suck.

P.S. You guys should come over and watch some episodes of the office sometime soon.
Heh, rant wherever you want; all I’m gonna say is that just last week I put down MGS3. Like, I put ‘er in, (Subsistence version), got about 6-7 hours in, and took it back out and threw it on the shelf because for like the first time I just realized how little fun I was having. Don’t get me wrong, I love original MGS and the one on the Game Boy Color, and 2 is pretty decent as far as I recall, but this game just didn’t grab me.
I’ll have to try again someday, maybe. Sucks, though; for all the love I have for that series, I just can’t put my finger on where this one went wrong for me.
